Maricarmella Baker, LPC, Brainspotting Therapist

Maricarmella Baker is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received her Master’s in Counseling at Northern Illinois University. She focuses on providing compassionate, personalized care using a warm, empathic and interactive approach to counseling. Maricarmella has worked with a wide variety of ages, from young children and adolescents to adults, in settings including schools, at home client care, residential trauma facilities, and private practice. She believes in holistic, client centered care, tailoring her approach to meet each person’s mental health goals. She works with individuals’ unique needs and experiences, including anxiety, depression, learning disorders, low self-esteem, personality disorders, grief, and trauma. Maricarmella follows an evidence-based treatment approach that includes CBT, DBT, Brainspotting, mindfulness, and trauma informed care. She understands that every journey has its twists and turns, but with the right tools and proper support every individual can achieve the peace they seek.
